A Cyber Security Manager is responsible for overseeing an organization’s information security strategy, ensuring the protection of digital assets, and managing cyber risk. This role involves leading a team of security professionals, developing policies and procedures, and coordinating incident response efforts to safeguard against threats such as hacking, malware, and data breaches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive cyber security policies and procedures.
- Lead and manage the cyber security team, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor networks and systems for security breaches, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activity.
- Coordinate and oversee incident response, including investigation, mitigation, and reporting of security events.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and address potential threats.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
- Collaborate with IT, legal, and business units to implement security measures and support organizational goals.
- Manage security awareness programs and training for employees.
- Prepare and present security reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Stay current with emerging cyber threats, technologies, and best practices.
- Periodically internal security Audits and Management Reporting
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as Cyber Security Manager, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of security technologies, protocols, and frameworks (firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption, etc.).
- Experience with incident response, risk management, and compliance requirements.
